and experiences about this wonderful game bird. Here I focus on the eastern wild turkey which is the bird I hunt
here in the province of Ontario, Canada . Many sportspersons believe the eastern wild turkey is the most-difficult of all the
subspecies to take and I can a test to that. In the cold northern regions like Ontario, the eastern tends to grow slightly
larger than the western and southern species. Mature eastern toms have been known to weigh as much as 30 pounds.
